INSTALLING AND RUNNING
Installation process was standard, encountering no problems on NT, XP and Vista, 7 systems. Windows’95-Me a user will have to close
most of the software running due to the lack of resource barriers under Window 95-Me and may also be restricted to a limited number of
object per document to the resource factor. I do recommend running on an system which does have at least a 16bit color graphic card
with at least 128MB of memory. The smooth and quick running of the software was quite amazing it took around 4 seconds to run with a
unlimited trial with tags. After loading, I was confronted by a plain display with an abounded amount of feature and function.
Looking very familiar in it appearance to any other standard common application, with standard icons on the display buttons.
The learning curve of Ezypage will not be as hard as I have contemplated.
LABELS
By clicking on the ‘A’ label button and then by pressing on the page. I created my first label by typing it in, by loosing the focus of the label
and re-holding the mouse button on the label again I could reposition it to a new position. Labels can also be position by one pixel at a
time by pressing the arrow control button on the far right of the screen or by typing in the X/Y positions manually for the each objects.
This is great for those slight movements. Aligning the label was simple and standard by using the alignment buttons. I also notice if you
click the right mouse button on the alignment buttons it would position the label to left, right or to middle of the page.
Changing the label color was simple as clicking on the toolbar palette color. This will change the color of the whole label, same with the
bold, italic and underline. Latter I found out you have to use the create paragraph 'P' button if you what different formatting in the text. If you
do use the paragraph button make sure the text you paste is pure with no rich text formatting (RTF) otherwise it does not seem to display
right on the screen.
The spell checker kicks in straight away, correcting while you type. By using the right mouse button on a red underlined word, a work can
easily be corrected or add to a custom dictionary. By clicking the spell check button on the toolbar a user can have more spell check options
for a word. Ezypage supports fourteen different language dictionaries which can also be combined when checking.
The next step was to change the properties of the labels. The quickest way of doing this was to double click on the label itself. I turned the
label into a link by adding the http:// web address in the URL text box. You could also place a page number in the box, which represents the
.html name of the page in the Ezypage document.
The label properties also have a few other neat features like ‘Embed Font’ when pressed to the down position the label will then be
converted to a GIF picture. This is handy if you are using non standard True-Type fonts in a page design and want it to be displayed on all
machines which do not have the font installed on their system. The label ‘Rollover Text Style’ property also assigns the current hyper link
with a roll over color. When a user moves over the label the text changes color. This comes in handy when expressing a link to a better
degree of professionalism and shine. The label ‘HTML Code’ button when pushed allows HTML code to work in the label example
<b>example</b> will display in bold when pressed otherwise it will display as is. If you really need to customize, by adding code in the 'add
HTML / Java' text box a user can use the current label position, color and alignment to run their own custom code with the label defaults.
HANDLES SIX HUNDRED PAGES AT A TIME
A major plus is that Ezypage can handle a website with up six hundred layout or PHP coded pages, each page can have its own page title
and file name. The title can be entered in the green box below and .HTML or .PHP file name in the blue text box next to it on the bottom
of the Ezypage window. Next to it, it shows the page number the user is working on. Pages can be change by the pressing the left or right
page buttons or by dragging the mouse pointer between the page arrows for larger jumps. If a user gets lost due to the number of pages
been worked on. A search by title can be done by double clicking on the green title text box. Each of the six hundred pages can have it own
properties. This is done by double clicking on the page itself, a user can edit the selected page Meta Tags, Browser Window Size, Scroll
Bar and Background color for each of the created pages.
HYPER LINK TRACKER
A very powerful function of this software would be the 'Hyper Link Tracker' button, which will track all the links too and from each of the six
hundred pages making it very easy to find any dead links among the pages.
DRAWING SHAPES
Drawing squares, rectangles, ovals and circles was easy as selecting the shape button and drawing the default shape on the screen and
then changing it to the required shape type. The left mouse button on the color palette changes the border color of the shape and the right
mouse button changes the background color of the shape. Resizing of the shape could be done with the mouse or by using the sizing text
boxes on the toolbar.
PICTURES AND IMAGES
By clicking on the picture button a user can add a picture. Once pressed an option to open the picture file will appears. Allowing a user
to select from a large number of different picture files. It does loads a number of different formats JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP and TIF file formats.
After opening the picture it is then placed on the screen ready to be moved and resized.
By double clicking onto the picture, a user can change the picture file name in the image ( SRC ) text box, add a hyper link by typing in the
number of the page or by using a URL address. Title and ALT tags can be added by typing them in the required text box. HTML events
can be added like onClick = “” for advanced uses.
A user can re-size a picture by converting the file format of the image. Choose from GIF, Transparent GIF, PNG, Transparent PNG, JPG
and Progressive JPG.
By pressing the Transparent GIF button it came up with a window to change the image size. It also allowed a user to select how may color
the image will have. After selecting optimal it reduce the image down to the lowest amount of colors need to be displayed. If there where
thousands of colors it will assign the best 256 color palette to the image when converting to the GIF. Once I pressed the covert button, I
could then select the transparent colors from the image and exit. It may be best to convert images with more than 256 colors to GIF before
using the Transparent button. Otherwise the selected transparent color may not have a greater surface area when it is converted to 256
colors. having an effect of one pixel or a small area will be transparent if the a picture has millions of colors.
The picture box does have few other handy menu settings allowing a user to Crop, Render, Flip, Rotate, Framed, Sharpen and Changing
of Brightness and Contrast of the selected image, all by selecting the properties menu item.
Each picture can also be aligned on the page by using the Left, Center, Right alignment buttons. Plus the color of the picture could also
be change by selecting one of the independent toolbar colors.
CUSTOM SCRIPTS
Can also be added to any part of the screen by clicking ’J’ toolbar button and drawing the area on the page to be used. Then it was a
matter of adding the source code for the area. This was done by double clicking on the drawn scrip box and changing the values. The first
value you could change would be the type of the code, example changing <Div> to <P> for a paragraph area. Then it was just a matter of
entering or pasting the HTML Code in the '(Script) Code :' property text box.
FRAMES
This was a matter of drawing a frame with the frame toolbar button and adding a URL link for it by double clicking on the frame itself to set
the link.
ROLLOVER BUTTON
Custom roll over picture buttons can also be add by using the roll over toolbar option. Once drawn this option will generates two of its own
default GIF buttons. The looks and feel of these button can be changed by using any of the new option which will appear once drawn.
Example the button color can be change by clicking on the toolbar color palette. I found this function to be very powerful in creating some
real unique style of buttons in quick time. If you do not fancy designing your own button a user can add two of their own images to make
up their own custom roll over image button. This can be done by double clicking on the drawn button and adding in the two images that
is going to make up the image button. A user link can be done by inserting the Ezypage document page number as a URL or else by
entering in a URL HTTP:// address.
GRAPHICAL TEXT
In Ezypage there are two toolbar option where a user can add custom graphical text. The first is very standard, a user can just click on the
toolbar 'A' button and then on the page to enter in the text. By re-clicking on the text after the text object has lost focus, a little option toolbar
will appear under the main toolbar giving a user a number of extra options. Like rendering the text in a number of different styles or a
hyper link can be added to it by entering in Ezypage document page number or a URL address. There is also a little check box that will
create an area for the text to scroll in. If the text has right adjusted alignment the text will scroll to the right, if the text has left adjusted
alignment it will scroll to the left and if centered it will bounce backward and forwards in the selected width box. The scroll area size can
be change by using the toolbar ‘Width’ text box. The second toolbar option will generate 3D-text to be places it in a picture box. .
COMMAND OBJECTS
In Ezypage a user can add Field, Check, Text boxes with command buttons. A neat little feature is that a user can add, subtract, multiply
and divide the field boxes. This can be done simply by selecting the box and using the Field box formula menu item to include a formula.
Once the menu item has been selected a toolbar will appear below, this is where a user can change the type of the field and include the
formula. Example will be F1+F2 will add field 1 contents and field 2 contents together. This is straight forwards but does required some
research in the help file or by looking at samples .PGE files.
TABLES
Ezypage has the ability to insert tables on any page by using the create table menu item. The table menu item gives a user a selecting of
eight different table designs, which can be alter at any stage by adding or removing rows and columns. There is even a table styler that
can change the background and foreground color to a favorable color scheme. Otherwise a user will have to select each cell one at a time,
by using the left mouse button on the toolbar color palette to change the text color and right mouse button to change background color of the
selected cell. Each cell font type, size and alignment can be change this way as well. Table content can be sorted by selecting a column
and using the table sort menu item.
IMPRESSING AN OBJECT
The 'Impress' menu item is a powerful but unique feature of Ezypage. A user can have a selected object like a table to be place on every
page in the same spot. No need for copying and pasting an object from page to page.
The Field, Text, Check and Tables can even hold different data content from page to page.
DOCUMENTS PRODUCED
Ezypage is not just a website creation tool it can also produce E-books, Email, Picture file formats and advanced PDF document with forms
of the layout. This does saves a lot of time switching between applications to produce other types of documents and it does this very well.
CONCLUSION
Ezypage seems to be a very stable product within system limits. I was amazed to experiencing no crashes, dropouts or blue screens at the
time of using and it does outperform most other software in certain areas. Been an relative unknown tested and tried product, it takes a little
getting use too and more time to trust. Development of simple large documents or website can be way quicker than any other packages on
the marked but within limits.
After producing a number complex HTML pages and running them through three different HTML checker. The HTML source produced does
conforms to standards.

Industrial Software at Shareware Prices
Over the past year Ezypage has developed into one of the newest low cost power house product in today's document market.
Customer ask us why is our product cost so low, thinking low cost mean a bad product or sub standard. This is just not the case,
other software companies spend millions of dollar in Marketing, Branding, Boxing, Middlemen and High directors wages. Making
a $40 product into a $200 to $600 product. Why should you the user pay for multiple rich directors life styles, in most cases
rewarding themselves sums of millions.
Where Ezypage will reduce business cost in producing and providing anything from publishing Portable Document Format (PDF)
file, to creating small journals and engineering reports for the web with a much needed user friendly software environment at a very
low shareware price tag.
While other products use bloated unfriendly, complex hard to find features or use outdated methods in producing web pages and
sites. In most cases causing content to jump about in a non fixed positions. Ezypage does away with all this by setting out code
to the selected standard page size. Where content can then be easily exported to other page types, like the proper printer page
standards, PDF and executable documents.
Most business need a simple software package which does a simple need in quick time. Without all the unnecessary hard to find
features which are never used, causing a computer system to slow down or even crash in some cases.
