Developing a Simple Application : Step 2

Now Labels, Lines, Rectangles, Squares and Pictures can now be added to the application.

In this case we created a label titled 'Name : ' and 'Address : ', this can be done by clicking on the label button
and then by clicking on the assembly window to place and type the text. The font type, size and color will be
based on the last selected label and can be change by using any of the font options.

Labels have been placed, Doubled click to add a
hyper link or tool tip to the label.

Double click on

Remove the selected Label

Add or remove the record
tool bar from assemble.

If compiled as a tryit version
it will only have 9 records.

Remove the main tool bar from
the assemble window.

Add or remove the New Button

Add or remove previous or next record buttons

On loading a database file, this will set the database position to record 1 or last record depending
on setting.

Application Window Title

Add or remove
resize buttons.

Give the application
a system pasword.

The application file
name extension.

Set CSV field divider
when exporting.

Font Type will change
font for all the menu
and dialog windows.

Character Set will
change the character
set for all the menu's,
windows and labels.

This will adjust for
different languages.

About Box - This will add a menu item named 'Contents', by filling out the sample about window
you can add detail about the software and a web address on the bottom.

Calculator - Lets you add a calculator button to the main tool bar.

Charting - Will add an charting button to the main tool bar. When a field is selected it can can be charted.
Example if a number field is selected it will chart the number in a bar chart. If a text field is selected it will
count all the similarities and display the top thirty in a % bar or pie chart. When a number field is selected it
can also be charted as a statistic if you use the menu item. 

Calendar - If a field box is set to a date value and the calendar option is checked here, every time the date
field is focused on a calendar will appear with the field date set in it.

Yahoo! - When exporting database to HTML it will include a yahoo style search engine.

Export - When checked the record base can be exported to any other format like CSV or HTML.

Help File - You can add you own .CHM help file to your own application. These help files can be developed
using Microsoft Help Workshop or for beginners Help Scribble. If select a default help file will be created.

Help File - When check the compiled application window can be resized

Encryption - The data in the created database files will be encrypted.

0.00 - Zero value will not be displayed in the number field types.
